Shout out to Hosea Williams.
Known by your peers as a good neighbor, a church goer, and a community leader, you fanned the flames of defiance and protest over your lifetime. One of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s most trusted acquaintances and often referred to as his “bull in a china closet,” you aligned yourself with love. With unfettered joy, you philanthropically brought public awareness to intergenerational poverty beginning in 1971. As a result, millions of hungry and homeless have been fed and clothed.
